Owner
madridmetro.org is owned by David Franco Aguirre, trading under the GoRandom brand, with his address at Avenida Lehendakari Aguirre, 81 — 48015 Bilbao (Bizkaia), Spain. Any communication, including legal correspondence, should go to [email protected].
No connection with Metro de Madrid or the Consorcio
Nothing published here is official. Metro de Madrid, S.A., the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid and the Comunidad de Madrid take no part in this site or its content, do not fund it, do not oversee it and are not answerable for what it says. If a time, a fare or a service does not match what the operator publishes, the operator is right by definition and the mistake is ours.
Trade marks and station names
«Metro de Madrid», its logo, the names and colours of the lines and the names of the tickets and passes belong to their owners. They appear on these pages for one purpose only, the one that trade-mark law permits and the subject itself requires: identifying the service being discussed. The operator’s logo is not part of this site’s design and the official map is not reproduced.
Origin and licence of each piece of data
This site does not generate information about the service: it collects it, and each type of data comes with its own conditions. The network, timetables, accessibility and station services are material published by Metro de Madrid and by the open data of the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid, which remain theirs and are cited here. Prices are those of the BOCM no. 311 of 31 December 2025. What surrounds each station is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL licence. Opening dates and former names come from the Spanish Wikipedia, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, as an unofficial cross-check. The full inventory:
- Network, lines and stations (order, interchanges, zone, municipality, entrances and services): line and station pages on metromadrid.es, cross-checked against the CRTM’s ArcGIS server.
- Coordinates and section lengths: CRTM open data; OpenStreetMap only as a cross-check of position and order.
- First and last train: the operator’s 34 PDF timetables for the current season, which are scanned documents read by optical character recognition with manual review of doubtful cells. Frequencies: the operator’s table of intervals. Times between stations: derived from those timetables, and for ten pairs from the CRTM GTFS.
- Fares and cards: the BOCM cited above (CRTM Resolution of 29 December 2025) and the ticket, card and FAQ pages of crtm.es.
- Accessibility: the «accessible station» icon and the presence of lifts as published by the operator, plus the CRTM’s accessibility grade. Where they disagree, the operator’s is published and the disagreement is pointed out.
- Network map: an unofficial diagram by Wikimedia Commons contributors under CC BY-SA 4.0, with attribution below it; because it is a share-alike licence, our adaptation is published on the same terms. The official Metro de Madrid map is protected and is not reproduced.
- Service status: the board on the home page is not connected to any live source. It compares the time with the published timetable and lists, with their date, the long disruptions announced by the operator.
Accuracy and liability
The pages are rebuilt from the captured data rather than edited by hand, which removes one class of error and not the others: a source can be wrong, a capture ages from the day it was made, and works can cut a line the week after publication. None of this is live information. Check metromadrid.es before you travel. No liability whatsoever is accepted for a broken link, for a fare different from the one shown or for decisions taken on the basis of these pages.
Intellectual property
The texts written here, the page design and the code are ours. Everything else belongs to whoever published it and is used under the licences listed above.
